We understand that in therapy, boundaries are of paramount importance.
For this reason, you can specify how much advance notice you want before a new client can book an Initial Exploratory Session with you.
Minimum advance notice for Initial Session bookings
You can decide how many days or hours notice you want for a prospective client to book an Initial Exploratory Session with you. This means you are completely in control of your time and your calendar. Only Initial Exploratory Sessions which you have made available, and which fall within the time frame you have specified will be bookable by clients.
How do I specify my Minimum Advance Notice?
Setting up your personalised minimum advance notice is easy.
- In your Helpspace account, go to Settings.
- Under Booking in the 'Minimum Advance Booking' field, enter the minimum amount of time (in hours) before the session start time, that a client can book the session.
- Click 'Update'.
This will update your calendar settings so that only Initial Exploratory Session Slots which fall outside of that minimum advance booking time will be bookable by new clients from your Helpspace profile.
The Max Future Booking setting
To manage your case load in a responsive way, Helpspace has a Max Future Booking setting.
This setting allows you to specify the maximum amount of time ahead of an Initial Exploratory Session slot that a new client can book with you.
This allows you to add Initial Exploratory Session slots in your calendar, but know that they will not be bookable until a certain amount of time ahead of that session start time.
It also ensures that clients who are booking Initial Exploratory Sessions are being met at the time of need, rather than booking sessions very far in advance.
For example, you can add Initial Exploratory Session Slts to your calendar for the next month. However, you could set the Max Future Booking setting to 14 days. Therefore, although you have added the Initial Exploratory Sessions you intend to offer over the next month, prospective clients will only be able to view and book the Initial Exploratory Session Slots which appear in your calendar within 14 days of the time at which they are booking.
How do I set up the Max Future Booking time?
- In your Helpspace account, go to Settings.
- Under 'Booking' in the 'Max Future Booking (Days)' field enter the maximum amount of time before the session start time that a client is able to book the session.
- Click 'Update'.
