Helpspace is a platform designed by therapists for therapists.

One of our key principles is that therapists should not have to pay for advertising when they are not receiving new clients.

For this reason, Helpspace is built on a different fee structure to the majority of sites (which operate more as counselling directories/profile-hosting sites). Helpspace offers counsellors much more than simply profile-hosting. Including:

No subscription fee

Unlike other profile hosting websites, Helpspace does not charge therapists a monthly or yearly subscription fee in order to have their profile hosted on the platform.

Commission fee

To fund our service, and to offset the high cost of digital advertising in this competitive space, Helpspace charges a commission fee for successful referrals. This is charged only once for each new client. A successful referral occurs when the client attends an Initial Exploratory Session. This commission fee is the total cost of the Initial Exploratory Session booked by the client,

This commission is only due when the client purchases an Initial Exploratory Session with you (i.e. it is only paid when you actually receive a booking from a client). Please note that this commission is charged regardless of whether the client books a Follow-up Session with you. This is to offset the high cost of marketing in this competitive space.

As a result, you do not pay anything to host your profile on Helpspace if you are not receiving successful client bookings from the platform. You will pay a commission for successful referrals.

Service charge

For follow-up sessions, the client pays a small service-charge (on top of your session fee). You can find out more about this Helpspace service charge here.
